A Fan Coil Unit is an air conditioning device that consists of a heat exchanger – the coil and a fan. To regulate the temperature of more than one room, a thermostat and ductwork is usually connected with the fan coil unit that also assists the main air handler units for each room if applied.
The thermostat uses a control valve to control the speed of the fan and the transfer of water to the heat exchanger.
Fan Coil Units are said to be more economical than other air conditioning units.
